Brett Cromwell Classes: Student Advisor/School Career Counselor, Digital Tools, Entrepreneurship, Yearbook, and Video Production "I would like to tell you a little bit about myself both personally and professionally. Personally I have lived in Republic for over 34 years and have been happily married for over 27 years. I have three exceptional children and five beautiful grand children. I deeply value family, friends, and dedication to my work. I try to pass that on to students so they might benefit from their own hard work and aspirations. Students should never give up and should always know they can be whatever they desire. Growing up in a family of 13 children, I know of life's hardships, but also understand how to overcome obstacles and achieve my personal and professional goals. I hope to pass this on to my students and help them to be what they desire. As a child and young teenager I worked in the asparagus fields, cherry orchards, and hay fields of the Yakima Valley. In high school, I worked as a janitor's helper at RHS and the weekend cleanup crew at the local sawmill. I've worked jobs ranging from an armed bank security guard in California to being a tire buster for a local tire shop. Just prior to teaching I was a mechanic for several years and owned my own business. I still enjoy occasionally working on cars and restoring classics. I love riding my motorcycle, camping, fishing, and visiting new places. Professionally, I have been a teacher at Republic High
School for the past nine years. During that time I have also served
as the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Advisor, Computer Club
Advisor, Class of 1999, 2004, and 2008 Advisor, Student Store Advisor,
Yearbook Advisor, and student career counselor. I have spent many weeks
during the summers to stay current on computer technology and to participate
in service learning activities with students. Prior to teaching I gained
my business and management experience as a business owner and a Chevrolet
Service Manager. I have also served as a Ferry County Fair Board Member,
Republic City Council Member and as Mayor of the City of Republic. I
truly understand the need and value for all members of the community
to volunteer their time to improve our community. Email: bcromwell@republic.wednet.edu Work Phone: 775-3171 Ext. 103
